All About Manac Trailer

December 1, 2008 – 8:04 am | by Mehul Brahmbhatt

For the highway, the farm, the forest, or the construction site, Manac manufactures trailers that are versatile and sturdy enough to get any job done. Since 1966, the company has been in the business and has produced a wide variety of flatbeds, vans, lowbeds, off-highway, and other semi-trailers for truckers in North America. Offering custom-built and specialty trailers, the company has earned itself the rank of the largest manufacturer of these types of trailers in the region.

With a motto that asks truckers to transport “anything, anywhere, anyway you want it,” the manufacturer is ready to take on any challenge. With dump trailers especially designed for life on the farm, lowbeds designed to haul even the heaviest materials to construction sites, Manac produces unique trailers and stands by their products.

In fact, Manac is intent on customer service, promising to give the best service available to its customers. For this reason, the company also offers parts and service for its trailers. Even if you purchase a used Manac trailer, Manac is always there with the right part and an offer of service to get the trailer up and running if it should become damaged.

But while customer service may give Manac an edge over the traditional trailer manufacturer, it isn’t what makes the company unique. Instead, Manac’s commitment to producing top-of-the line trailers is what makes it a company truckers can trust. This commitment has lead to several innovations that have revolutionized the industry. For example, in 1989, Manac became the first company to use soft-sider platforms and chip semi-trailers with steel walls.

Truckers who want to buy a Manac can find information about purchasing the new trucks on the company’s web site, including names, addresses, and phone numbers for dealers in their areas. For truckers who are more interested in a bargain, however, used Manacs can also be found in regions throughout the United States. By searching for used Manac trailers online through classified web sites, truckers can find some of these innovative trailers at bargain prices.

Whether you’re a highway owner-operator looking for a sturdy highway-built trailer or the owner of a construction company seeking trailers to make your business a little more professional, Manac has one of the most varied selections of trailers in the industry. For truckers who want a sturdy trailer, available parts, excellent customer service, and service professionals specially trained to work on these trailers, Manac is an excellent trailer solution.

Before You Buy A Chinese Atv

November 28, 2008 – 9:25 am | by Mehul Brahmbhatt

Let’s face it, not everybody has the cash to put out for a top of the line Honda ATV or Yamaha ATV, an Artic Cat, Bombardier ATV or Polaris ATV. And even the smaller models are relatively expensive. But you still want a ride so you keep looking around.

There are used ATV and you can save some serious coin by picking up a used model, if you’re able to determine why it’s being sold and what it’s condition really is. The nature of ATV trekking and racing isn’t the gentlest of activities and an ATV can age remarkably rapidly because of extreme stresses. Maybe the seller is telling you the truth when he says he only did some flat trail and sand riding a couple times and never ever went muddy or airborne. Or maybe not.

You need a competent mechanic to check out a used ATV and even then he or she isn’t going to be able just how stressed and close to the breaking point some parts may be. So while you may be getting a great deal you may also be looking at some unanticipated repairs, real soon now.

Recently a variety of Chinese manufactured ATVs have become available. These ATVs are generally much cheaper than comparable well known brands. Usually there are fewer models and smaller engine sizes. The smaller ones may be ideal for a child’s first ATV and the low cost makes it more practical in that sense. There are also now some bigger models suitable for adults.

A plus is that the engines tend to be cloned versions of Japanese engines which means that the designs are basically decent.

There are some problems however. Quality control can be a major issue with products from some Chinese factories, so you need to be very clear on what kind of warranty you’re getting. Generally you’ll also need to accept that these machines are not as well-finished as the big name brand machines.

The major kicker, however, is parts availability. With any kind of a machine which is subject to rugged conditions of use - that is why you want an ATV after all - things will break. No matter how hot the name, how good the quality control, how high the price, when you bounce off rocks and slam the ground, launch a quad airborne, run through mud and sand and generally have a really good time, you are going to get breakage and plain old mechanical wear, tear, fatigue and eventual parts failure.

Getting parts to fix up your Chinese ATV could be a nightmare. Maybe they’ll come in six weeks, six months, maybe never. So before you put down one cent, do your absolute best to ensure that the dealer - or some dealer you can get to easily - really and truly has parts. Ask him to show you what he keeps in stock. They want to sell you a quad so they may stretch the truth some. Check on the internet, see if you can find other people who’ve bought the model you’re thinking of and find out what their experiences have been.

Buy a model that you know is being sold fairly widely. That doesn’t mean every seller will have parts, but there’s a better chance that a supply chain will exist and that you will be able to get parts relatively quickly. If you are going to be an occasional rider, a Chinese ATV may offer you a whole lot of machine for a lot lower price and the parts and service issue would be slightly less important. However, if you are going to be using it daily, if it’s essential to your work, then you need to be very very sure of the quality, the warranty and service and parts availability.

Doing your research first can make the difference between getting yourself a great deal versus sliding into a no-ride nightmare.

These RV’s are typically built for luxury and come with most of the amenities you would find in your own home. They are typicall designed to sleep up to six adults.

The Class B Motor Home looks a lot like a van.  That’s because it’s a conversion van that manufacturers add a variety of standard and optional conveniences to such as kitchen, bathroom, and sleeping accommodations. Many have a top extension added to them for additional storage. Class B’s are understandably the easiest motor homes to drive and park because of their more compact design than the other two. They may sleep from 2 to 4 adults.

Class C Motor Home

The Class C Motor Home is built on an automotive manufactured van frame with an attached cab section.  So the cab frame is exposed rather than enclosed like a Class A Motor Home. This mini-motor home offers many of the features of a Class A but in a less expensive version.  These can sleep betweet 4 to 8 adults depending on the model.

Travel Trailer (towable)

The Travel Trailer is a towable unit that attaches to the towing vehicle with a bumper or frame hitch. They are easily detached once the Trailer is parked to give you free use of your towing vehicle. These can be equipped with many of the conveniences of home and will sleep between 2 to 8 adults depending on the size of the unit.

Fifth Wheel Rv (towable)

The fifth wheel is built with the forward section raised up leaving space below the front section to connect to a special hitch on a pick-up truck. This creates a bi-level floor plan inside the unit typically raising up the master bedroom. They are easily detached once the Trailer is parked to give you free use of your towing vehicle. These can be equipped with many of the conveniences of home and will sleep between 2 to 8 adults depending on the size of the unit.

Folding Camping Trailer aka Pop-up Trailer (towable)

The folding camping trailer is an RV that is mounted on wheels and has collapsible sidewalls that allows the unit to be stored in a more compact space.  It’s size makes it a relatively easy unit to tow and maneuver.  This unit can sleep up to 8 depending on size and combines the experience of a camping tent with the advantages of other RV’s.

Truck Campers

The truck camper is a unit that fits onto the bed of pick-up truck.  It provides a relatively smaller sleeping area and some appliances.  It makes it easier to reach more remote camping locations that would prove difficult to pull a towable RV into.

Park Model

A Park Model is a unit built on a single chassis and then mounted to wheels.  It is a little less mobile than a travel trailer and designed for more long-term camping. It usually includes greater living space through the use of tip-outs or slide-outs.
