With a revenue of $79 billion USD and the slogan of ‘ Power of Dreams ‘, the automobile dealers of new cars for sale from the Honda stable live up to their promises. With more than 14 million internal combustion engines built each year, Honda is the largest engine-maker in the world and their dealers serve the machines right on the road.
It was Honda, which established a grip in the American market in 1972 with the launch of the Civic-larger than their earlier models. Honda was also the first Japanese automaker to introduce a separate luxury line of vehicles. Honda Motor Co. said its sales were up 20.7 percent in January in its eighth consecutive record-breaking month. As American Honda’s product line grew, so did the company’s status among dealers. By 1986, the number of U.S. dealers had passed the 900 mark. In a nation where dealers normally handle more than one make of car, the percentage of dealers specializing in Honda cars was above 70 percent, making it the foremost dealership network in America.
